Amy & Dan Stump Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is for one or more students majoring in Anthropology, Child Development, Geography, Psychology or Sociology. Recipient(s) must have a minimum 3.5 G.P.A and have completed 45 units including 12 units of Behavioral Science at F.C. in the following courses: Anthropology, Child development, Geography, Psychology or Sociology, 6 units of which must have been completed at FC. The recipient(s) must enroll in an accredited 4-year college/university within three semesters after receiving the award.

Barbara Weightman Geography Scholarship

Student must be majoring in Geography and taking nine units or more, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Student can be continuing, graduating, or transferring. Selection will be made by the Fullerton College Geography department.

Bill & Nancy Sullivan International Studies Scholarship

This scholarship is for graduating or transferring students majoring in Social Sciences (including majors in: Anthropology, Chicano/Chicana Studies, Child Development & Educational Studies, early Childhood  Education, Elementary Education, Economics, Ethnic Studies, Geography, History, Latin-American Studies, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Religious Studies, and Sociology). The student will provide an Essay that demonstrates interest in International Studies or Global Studies. The student must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA or above. The selection will be made by Social Science Division and A. Lynne Negus.

Chris Lamm Social Justice Scholarship

This scholarship will go to a full-time or part-time student majoring in Child Development (and other education majors) with a GPA of 3.5 and enrolled in a minimum of 6 units and is graduating/transferring to a four-year institution.

Del Alcorn/Bob Owen Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is for a continuing or graduating full-time student (12 or more units per semester), with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and is majoring in either Sociology or Anthropology. Selection of the scholarship recipient is by Angie Andrus.

Donna LoganTeaching Scholarship

To receive the Donna Logan Teaching Scholarship a student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be pursuing a career in teaching. Applicants must submit a one-page essay describing their reason for selecting teaching in an elementary school as a career and their desire to impact the lives of youth through teaching. The selection of the recipient will be made by the family of Donna Logan.

Family Science Award

This scholarship is for students majoring in Sociology, Psychology, or Child Development and Education Studies. Student should have a G.P.A. of 3.0 or better, must have completed 40 units at F.C. and be enrolled for at least 6 units, with the completed units containing at least 12 units of Social Science in his/her program.

J.S. Arnold-O.P. Le Ross Social Sciences Scholarship

This scholarship is for one or more students majoring in Social Science (including majors in: Anthropology, Chicano/Chicana Studies, Child Development & Educational Studies, early Childhood  Education, Elementary Education, Economics, Ethnic Studies, Geography, History, Latin-American Studies, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Religious Studies, and Sociology), having completed 45 units of which at least 12 units must be at F.C. from the following courses: Child Development, Economics, Ethnic Studies, History, Political Science, Philosophy or Religious Studies. Six of the 12 units must be from Economics and/or History and/or Political Science. Student must have a minimum of a 3.5 G.P.A. and enroll in a 4-year accredited college within three semesters after receiving the award.

Martin & Lotte Hebeling Scholarship

Student applicants must have completed a minimum of 12 units in the Social Science Division (including majors in: Anthropology, Chicano/Chicana Studies, Child Development & Educational Studies, early Childhood  Education, Elementary Education, Economics, Ethnic Studies, Geography, History, Latin-American Studies, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Religious Studies, and Sociology). Student(s) also must receive an AA from F.C. or be transferring to a four-year institution, maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA and write an essay on how they demonstrated leadership at improving or facilitating inter-ethnic, inter-racial, international or multi-cultural human relations.

Nettleship Family/UUCF Scholarship

The Nettleship Family Scholarship is available for a student who has overcome a serious obstacle to attend Fullerton College. Students in all Divisions are eligible.

Requirements:

1.  3.0 GPA
2.  In final semester at Fullerton College and about to graduate
3.  Accepted as a transfer studenet at a four year institution and planning to matriculate at that institution the following summer or fall semester

Applications include the following:

1. Scholarship application from the Social Science Division
2. Transcript of course work at Fullerton College
3. Essay describing the student's studies, the obstacle overcome and his/her long term academic goals
4. A letter of recommendation from one or more Fullerton College faculty members
5. An interview at the request of the scholarship donor a week before the award it made

Perry Jacobson Jr. Sociology Scholarship

The student should be a declared Sociology major, and/or have completed at least nine units of Sociology course work. The donor has specified that the recipient have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5. The recipient will be selected by Kelly Nelson-Wright, or faculty of the Sociology Dept.
